Hello!

Hello world!

(Re) starting a new blog feels like opening a new sketchbook—hesitant to begin and fearful of messing up on the first page.  Out of that reluctance, I either don’t start at all, or the time passes, and months and years go by.  For the longest time, I’ve been meaning to pick up blogging like before.  All throughout college, I had kept an online blog sharing my art process, writings, poems, music, and anything and everything that warranted both relevance and resonance.  I had been using Instagram in a sort of blog format, and being the person as I am, I would go above and beyond (quite literally) the word count. It felt limiting.  And as much as I love a well-edited statement filled with intention and brevity, I realized the medium in which one chooses to express themselves in was just as important. Instagram is very visual, fast, and one piece of content can be consumed in seconds. Naturally, being the slow and meandering person that I proudly am, I wanted another way to express myself not with just images but also in writing. The challenge had always been trying to find the time.  Even with all these time-saving apps and technologies, why does it feel that I never have enough time?

In addition to sharing content, I wanted to be more deliberate with my time, slow down, and to be more mindful of how I’m feeling. I have no idea if anyone would be willing to read my ramblings, but if you’re here reading this—thank you for taking the time! Maybe we’ve met before, conversed before, or shared something with one another. Perhaps we just met in passing. Or maybe you took a trip somewhere, went down a rabbit hole, and just landed here by accident!  Whatever the case may be, thank you for being here and present.

Warm regards,

Thinh Nguyen
